Breathe spider breathe…

Last night I had a dream that I was reading New Scientist, an article tells me that dopermines released from sex and TV frequencies emitted from reality TV make people docile and vote for people like Bush. The dream somehow progressed to me picking out the little, non essential pieces of my bones from my ribs, carving solitaire cards out of them and playing banker at a casino. I’d be doing well except that I couldn’t quite stop the bones from dripping fresh yellow plasma and messing up my amazing card shuffling abilities.
…I also danced with the king of hearts who threatened to show me his brain if I didn’t read him a bedtime story. Of course, it is rather interesting that I would pick the king of hearts to be the emo one being that he does, indeed look like that in some card publications.

My brain…it mocks me even when I sleep.

In the perceived real world, I am creating new worlds for minions to play in + rehearsals. So many rehearsals. So so many rehearsals. New shit coming up soon. promise. as soon as i stop panicking over the new material that I need to practice and when i stop forgetting lyrics. When it comes to lyrics…your royal madness remembers…nothing. Even when, in this case, she happens to be the author of them…minus the covers of course.

Of course, we’d discover that all this shenanigan is for the purposes of our first overseas invite to play in Singapore, which consequently happens to be the hometown that I have never played my music to. For those who have travelled and lived in worlds away from your hometown, you’d probably understand the disembodied feeling of disquiet when you return to your home with your journeys and the weight of your stories. This is somewhat like that…I think.

So when you go home to showcase the gooey side of you that is your art, I’m producing a strange sublime orange slime of panic that oozes from the depths of your heart which jumpstarts a spate of beserker style panic. It’s probably going to be fine, my world will still be there after that, but hey, your royal madness panics still.

I will be back shortly, good interestingness is in store….for all. Some of the home gigs are finally cut and export ready for youtube. The real problem really rested on the fact that I am still using an analogue camera to shoot these things and the conversion issues to digital are somewhat the equivalent of trying to turn an elephant inside out with clothes pegs.

Now to wait for my bandwidth to recover from this month (which is next week) before I proceed with uploads onto youtube.

A reminder for Sydney siders who want to see the real gig.

I’m first up so you don’t really want to be late. :)
